DAVID HAYE – Underserved and spoon fed

2016 has been an embarrassment to say the least for the Hayemaker. His comeback fight against Mark De Mori was nothing but offensive to boxing fans. The fact he thought people deserved to see that, a man who taught himself to fight on YouTube, and then another fight against someone I can’t even remember the name, I only know him as the Cobra. But boxing as we know it, has once again disappointed us by the WBO ordering David Haye to face the winner of Joseph Parker v Andy Ruiz for the vacant WBO Heavyweight Title. I can’t for the life of me understand what he has done to warrant this mandatory place. He hasn’t fought anyone of any relevance or high ranking, and don’t get me wrong I think he brings life to the division and excitement to the sport, however it’s an insult to other fighters that have stayed active in his time of absense. The fact he also thinks that if he gets a belt, a fight with Shannon Briggs is PPV worthy. If Haye does capture the WBO title later in the year, and Briggs captures the WBA Regular belt, I can already smell a horrific promotion of a “Unification Fight” brewing.
