Since defeating Krysztof Glowacki for the WBO Cruiserweight Title recently this year, the big Ukrainian has multiple paths to choose from. In a division that has exciting bouts to be made in the future, his first title defence has been announced.

Usyk will fight South African Thabiso Mchunu on December 17th on the undercard of Bernard Hopkins final fight against Joe Smith Jr. This will be on HBO which will give Usyk a platform to perform in front of a huge audience.

A fellow Ukrainian and one of Usyk’s very good friends Vasyl Lomachenko, the current WBO Super Featherweight Champion has already cracked the American scene after an impressive KO victory against Roman Martinez.

Providing Usyk comes through this test, which he should do pretty convincingly, it could mean some Ukraine based bills or could even be a homecoming for the both of them to both defend their titles providing Lomachenko comes through successful against Nicholas Walters on November 26th.
