Next Saturday 24 year old Super Lightweight Hackney fight Ohara Davies tops the bill at the Wembley arena against Andrea Scarpa for the WBC Silver Super Lightweight Title. Ohara is fighting out of Tony Sims gym based in Brentwood, Essex with the likes of Conor Benn.
Davies has looked very promising recently and looks to be an exciting addition to the Matchroom stable. Often fighting on cards very early on in the evening, he hasn’t had much coverage yet and next Saturday will definitely be the biggest stage he will be able to perform on as he fights on Sky Sports.
A Victory against Scarpa will boost Davies quickly up the WBC rankings and Eddie hearn has said it will be his biggest test yet, but could put him into contention for a world title fight in 2017. This may be jumping the gun a bit but Hearn has said to live up to the hype he needs to put on a blistering performance against Scarpa to live up to the flash personality he gives in the build ups to his fights.
