With Anthony Joshua’s second defence of his IBF title getting closer and closer, the undercard is starting to take shape, not the shape we want. Scott Quigg makes his return against a journeyman, and Luis Ortiz will face Dave Allen in his second fight since signing his promotional deal with Matchroom.
This fight is frankly a cop out for Hearn, he will be able to offer Dave Allen next to nothing money to fight, and its another easy win for Ortiz. Allen is known to have a good tank, but not much else and in his last fight he lost a unanimous decision in a boring slug match against Dillian Whyte. He has since ballooned in weight and is working overtime to try and get fight fit again in time for December 10th. Ortiz should be in for an easy nights work.
This is a very poor fight to try and boost a pay per view card that isn’t very stacked at all, Ortiz brings very good presence but his performance in the ring two weeks ago against Malik Scott was a big anti climax. Not impressed with this match up whatsoever.
