British Super Lightweight champion Tyrone Nurse has signed a long term promotional deal with Frank Warren in hope to progress his career to the next level. Nurse has recently come off a win against Tommy Coyle in a very exciting defence against an opponent that is considered a good gatekeeper for the British level.
Nurse is a talented fighter and says he hopes to follow in the footsteps of fellow Brit Terry Flanagan who holds the WBO Lightweight Title. Nurse likes what Frank has done with Flanagan and feels he is the right man to guide him on the correct path. One of hopefully many of the signings Frank will make now he has signed his £100,000,000 deal with BT sport.
Nurse will be having undefeated prospect Ohara Davies knocking on his door soon for a shot at the British title after a unanimous decision victory against Andrea Scarpa last weekend. Questionable whether Ohara is looking beyond that, the British title is still a very prestigious belt and I’m sure its a match up that makes sense in terms of the fighters, however conflict of interest due to broadcasters may be a big stumbling block.
