With Anthony Joshua returning this weekend on our TV’s, its likely your going to have every heavyweight under the sun crawling out of the woodwork when the fight finishes saying they see flaws in AJ’s game, and they are the man to cause an upset. David Haye is that man, he started his outburst in the press conference with him and Tony Bellew.
Haye first went at Eddie Hearn, and then said how he is going to knockout the hype job Joshua, then recruit people to Hayemaker promotions in the lower divisions, and have them knockout the rest of the Matchroom stable.
Haye has said that nobody cares about the fight this weekend, and everyone is more excited to see him and Tony Bellew face off on the 4th of March. His claim that there is zero interest in this fight isn’t exactly far from the truth, and he goes on to say there is only so long Sky can protect their cash cow before people start getting bored of him.
However in regards to the opponents Joshua is facing, Haye is no stranger to conning the public as his last two fights since his return to boxing have been a disgrace and an insult to paying boxing fans. It pained his long time followers and fans that went across to see him against Klitschko in Germany.
There has since been many rumors that after all the paydays and the fame, that Haye is in fact almost broke, resulting in him selling his gym a few years back. Haye isn’t getting any younger and Joshua will only get better, he knows he needs the payday’s and Joshua will be at his most vulnerable now whilst he is lacking in experience.
If Joshua comes through successfully on Saturday he will be in line to face Wladimir Klitschko next year and David Haye will be knocking on the door of whoever has the belt, although a class between the two on home soil would be absolutely huge.
