This Saturday sees the return of the £16.95 boxing bump as Anthony Joshua headlines a not so stacked card against Eric Molina in the first defence of his IBF Heavyweight Title. All of this week is going to be the build up for all of these fights, with an overly dramatic head to head on the horizon with Dillian Whyte and Dereck Chisora.

  • ANTHONY JOSHUA VS ERIC MOLINA
(12 x 3 mins IBF Heavyweight World Championship)
  • DILLIAN WHYTE VS DERECK CHISORA
(12 x 3 mins Eliminator for WBC Heavyweight World Championship)
  • LUIS CONCEPCION VS KAL YAFAI
    (12 x 3 mins WBA Super-Flyweight World Championship)
  • CALLUM SMITH VS LUKE BLACKLEDGE
    (12 x 3 mins British Super-Middleweight Championship)
  • SCOTT QUIGG VS JOSE CAYETANO
(10 x 3 mins WBA International Featherweight Championship)
  • HOSEA BURTON VS FRANK BUGLIONI
    (12 x 3 mins British Light-Heavyweight Championship)
  • LUIS ORTIZ VS DAVID ALLEN
    (10 x 3 mins Heavyweight contest)
  • KATIE TAYLOR VS VIVIANE OBENAUF
    (6 x 2 mins Super-Featherweight contest)
  • MARCUS MORRISON VS HARRY MATTHEWS
    6 x 3 mins Middleweight contest
  • CONOR BENN VS JOSH THORNE

I’d say the fights that are most intriguing on that card start with Hosea Burton v Frank Buglioni for the British Light Heavyweight Title, this will be a decent scrap and quite closely matched fight.

Luis Concepion v Kal Yafai for the WBA Super Flyweight Title is another good little fight that is closely matched on ability. Rooting for the Brit here after looking promising in the pro ranks, It would be nice to see Yafai bring another title back for Britain.

We all know about Dillian Whyte defending his British Heavyweight Title against Dereck Chisora. This fight is bound to have an exciting build up, but the dust up in the ring will be too hippos fighting eachother. The rest of the fights on this card are probably worth swerving as they are Matchroom fighters against bums.

Over in Nebraska sees Terence Crawford defend his Super Lightweight Titles against John Molina Jr, in what will be a big mismatch. Molina is durable however and a knockout will be still quite impressive for Crawford.

  • TERENCE CRAWFORD vs.JOHN MOLINA JR
  • MASON MENARD vs. RAYMUNDO BELTRAN
  • SEAN MONAGHAN vs. FERNANDO CASTANEDA
  • MIKE REED vs. SIDNEY SIQUEIRA

This card will be shown live on Boxnation from around 2am in the UK, also to be shown live on Showtime US.

Over in New Zealand we see Joseph Parker take on Andy Ruiz Jr for the vacant WBO Heavyweight Title. This is one of the more appealing fights this weekend and it will  be shown live on Boxnation in the UK around 8am time and shown in America on HBO.

  • JOSEPH PARKER vs. ANDY RUIZ JR
  • JEFF HORN vs. ALI FUNEKA
  • ISAAC DOGBOE vs. JULIAN ARISTULE

Over all quite an exciting fight week with a lot to be crammed in. I will be posting up to date news and video’s of the weigh in’s and press conferences.
