Undefeated Ukrainian WBO Cruiserweight Champion Oleksandr Usyk has stated his desire to move up to the Heavyweight division and fight for a world title but prior to that he has some business to sort out in the cruiserweight division.
After Murat Gassiev recently beat Denis Lebedev for the IBF strap we now have four champions in the division all to be involved in some big unification clashes. In most peoples eyes Usyk is the best in the division, and I certainly believe that.
His footwork for a man of his size is incredible and his jab is like nothing I’ve seen in that division for a while, he doesn’t move like a 200lb man and his impressive performance against Krzysztof Glowacki was a real eye opener.

Usyk does fancy the chance to face Gassiev but feels facing Tony Bellew for the WBC title is most realistic, and certainly would enter that fight as the favourite. A move up to Heavyweight in the future will be exciting as he really is a fun fighter to watch, and is still only 29 years young.
