After months of failed negotiations and discussions between WBA Super Middleweight Champion Gennady Golovkin and WBA Regular Champion Daniel Jacobs, the WBA have no called for December 19th purse bids.
Negotiations have been in place for a while and apparently Tom Loeffler, Gennady Golovkins promoter, offered a 70%-30% split in which Jacobs turned down however now its going to the purse bids its going to be a 75%-25%, even less than the original offer.
If the two cant come to an agreement then the WBA will strip whoever the feel responsible in making the negations stall, but most people think Jacobs is ducking the fight or allowing himself more time to have a better training camp.
Also going to the purse bids over in Panama will be undefeated Cuban WBA Super Bantamweight Champion Guillermo Rigondeaux 17-0-0 (11ko’s) against undefeated Mexican challenger Moises Flores 25-0-0 (17ko’s).
Rigondeaux is one of the most brilliant boxers technically on the planet and he does still seem to be chasing WBO Super Featherweight Champion Vasyl Lomachenko, but for now Flores stands in his way.
