Since defeating Tom Doran earlier this year, Chris Eubank Jr has stayed awfully quiet whilst partying away in Dubai and it seemed his professional career had been put on hold since his injury, struggling to find a promoter who wants to work with him also being a stumbling block.
But Eubank Jr is back! and he will be facing IBO Super Middleweight Champion Renold Quinlan on ITV Pay Per View. Unaware how much the price will be or when or where the venue is, however, the event will come with a full undercard and lots of promotion from ITV4.
Eubank Jr is the former British Champion and has since vacated his title and now moved up to Super Middleweight where a future of big domestic clashes may lie. He has the likes of James DeGale, Callum Smith and even moving back to middleweight to fight Billy Joe Saunders.
I can’t see this announcement pleasing many fans as they are going to have to pay to watch this event, and also the level of opposition isn’t great either. It’s still up in the dark who Eubank Jr’s promoter is going to be but the fact another broadcaster is in the mix is always good for the sport!
