In September we saw Anthony Crolla face off with Venezuelan veteran Jorge Linares with the WBA, WBC Diamond and Ring Magazine belt up for grabs. Linares won by unanimous decision in a clear victory and broke the heart of Manchester’s current favourite fighter!
Ever since the fight happened, they both said they were game for an immediate rematch and it’s going to be happening on March 25 at the Manchester Arena again. Crolla always packs out the venue and the crowd he brings is always electric, and promises a good night of boxing.
I think most people can see the same outcome happening with Linares being a step up in class in terms of boxing ability, but you can’t fault the heart that Anthony Crolla has and his determination is unquestionable.

Crolla’s promoter Eddie Hearn is expected to announce the fight later on this week and its quite a good fight to look forward to for 2017. They both fight in the Lightweight division and there is some serious talent flying around it at the moment with some big clashes ahead next year for who ever comes victorious in the rematch.
Undefeated Montenegro fighter and WBC champion Dejan Zlaticanin will face off against undefeated American Mikey Garcia on the undercard of Frampton v Santa Cruz 2 with the title on the line. Whoever is victorious will certainly be coming after the Crolla v Linares winner!
I can’t see the undercard being too stacked on this rematch as we all know Hearn pays Crolla extremely generously and Linares wont come cheap either, but one fight we would hope to see is Hosea Burton v Frank Buglioni 2 after a cracking first fight last weekend.
