Deontay Wilder 37-0 (36ko’s) has another fight fall apart due to a drugs test as his Polish opponent Andrzej Wawrzyk has tested positive for steroids. The pair was due to meet in the ring on February 25th in Alabama however Wilder is now in search of a new opponent.
The WBC Champion was due to fight Alexander Povetkin last year but he to failed a drugs test and the fight fell through, leaving him to face Chris Arreola in a disappointing match up leaving Wilder with a broken hand and torn bicep.
The WBC rules state he must fight someone in the top 15 but drafting someone in on such short notice may be difficult, however the names of Gerald Washington, David Price and Jarrell Miller are in the mix.
