This weekend we see the rematch of Jorge Linares and Anthony Crolla as the pair meet again at the Manchester Arena with the WBA, WBC Diamond and Ring Magazine titles on the line.
The pair meet again immediately after the bout last September when Linares out-pointed Crolla, picking up a unanimous decision despite coming in as the bookies underdog. The last fight was close, however it was a clear Linares win as he showed his technical ability could not be matched.
The pair face off on a stellar card considering its on Sky sports. It’s better than the card you can expect to see Kell Brook v Errol Spence when they fight at a handsome price of £16.95.
The chief support to this bout will see long-term friends Brian Rose & Jack Arnfield face off, Martin Ward v Maxi Hughes and undefeated prospect Marcus Morrison faces Jason Welborn. I am fairly disappointed though to be fair as this card has received a very low amount of coverage and has been outdone by the recent Brook v Spence Jr saga.

Over in Germany we see Tyron Zeuge make the first defence of his WBA Super middleweight title against Isaac Ekpo. Zeuge won the belt in a rematch with Giovanni De Carolis last year after suffering a draw in their first fight.
The undefeated champion was set to face undeserving Brit Paul Smith Jr for some unknown reason, however he snubbed that chance in order to fight Ekpo in Germany. The Nigerian fighter will certainly be coming to give it his everything, and with a stern record of 31-2 (24ko’s) Zeuge is not in for an easy night.
Ekpo last lost to former champion Robert Stieglitz in 2013 but has since won all of his fights, only going the distance once in all nine of those fights.
Also this Saturday we see Kaz Evans’ Assassin Promotions back in action as they give their young talent another chance to shine on the professional stage. They will be showcasing their fighters at The Bournemouth Hilton Hotel on “The Homecoming” bill.
Bournemouth boys Sam Jones and Jake Best will be appearing on the card along side Max Wicks as they look to give back to their local community. The atmosphere will be absolutely rocking as both Jones & Best will be fighting in their hometowns.
Sam Jones will be making his return to the ring after a 4 month lay off from the sport after he suffered a hand injury. This came at a poor time for the youngster as he was picking up momentum and grasped three back to back wins in two months at the latter stages of 2016.
Trained out of Ty Browne’s New Era Gym in the heart of Bournemouth, Jones is in very safe hands, likewise with Jake Best as he trains out of Bendall’s gym, owned by former English middleweight champion Steven Bendall.
Assassin Boxing currently stands in a great position as their recent signing Ray Moylette took the boys on tour, picking up his second professional victory over in Boston last weekend for St Paddy’s weekend.
Tickets can be bought on both numbers above.

A very exciting weekend for the boxing purists as lots of top talent makes their way back to the ring. With eyes on Sky Sports as Anthony Crolla looks to win back his titles, it could be a cracker as Linares is looking past him with Mikey Garcia in mind.
