Jake Best will return to the ring on July 23rd, as the Bournemouth super-welterweight has been added to the Dove Box Promotions show ‘Make or Break’ at York Hall.

Best, who originally hails from Poole, Dorset is looking forward to fighting in the iconic York Hall for the first time, after his first four professional bouts have come down on the south-coast.

‘‘It is a massive honour and privilege to be fighting at the home of British boxing, York Hall. It’s venue where all of the major UK’s greats have fought at some point in their careers, and I get to tick it off the list. Getting a convincing win there is hugely important to me’’.

Best, who has really taken training up a notch in the run to the fight has said he hopes to work towards honours later, saying he’s as hungry as any boxer out there.

‘‘Since my last win over experienced Willy Warburton I’ve adapted my training, focus, and been endlessly practising new skills under the watchful eye of our new assistant trainer Kev Thorniley’’.

Best, was last in action back in May, where the Assassin Boxing fighter defeated William Warburton to claim his third win on an Al Siesta show at The Guildhall Southampton, which was headlined by Stephen Danyo, who fought for the WBO European Title.

The 23rd of July will see a return of Sunday boxing to York Hall, a special novelty, away from the norm.

The stacked card hosted by Tommy Dove, features the likes of Dominic Akinlade who makes his return to the ring following a defeat to Frank Warren`s latest signing, Nathan Gorman.

Also on the bill is Onder Ozgul, Angel Banev and John Harding Jr who faces Sonny Whiting.

Tickets for the action packed show are now available through Jake Best, who can be contacted on 07857355453.

Kaz Evans, founder of Assassin Boxing Promotions said,

‘‘This is a great opportunity for Jake Best to pick up another win, on a great show. Everyone knows Jake lives the life, and is as dedicated to this sport as anyone. We have seen how well Jake can box, and we are looking forward to seeing him back out again’’.

Jake Best added.

‘‘I’ve always known I would fight anyone and I honestly believe there is not a man at my weight division at any level in the UK that can hurt me or knock me out.  Having said that, to compete with these boys in a boxing ring I need to drop my macho style and develop the art of boxing, I’m learning quick and I believe with hitting six rounders getting three or four more wins under my belt then the title chances will start to come. I’ve been watching the likes of Grant Dennis and Asinia Byfield and neither of these phase me in the slightest, and I’m looking forward to progressing to a southern area title, at either of their weights’’.
